Joe Anderson, Dayton Callie and Jessica Lowndes have joined Lin Shaye in Darren Lynn Bousman’s thriller “Abattoir.”
Bousman is directing from a script by David Schow, Teddy Tenenbaum and Christopher Monfette.
Story centers on a real estate reporter who unearths an urban legend about a house being built from rooms where horrific tragedies have occurred. The investigation ultimately leads to the enigmatic Jebediah Crone and the answer to the terrifying question, “How do you build a haunted house?”
“I have been working to get ‘Abattoir’ made for the last 4 years,” Bousman said. “At times, it feels like it has been a non-stop push to see this thing into production. But reading the script, and looking at our cast, it has all been worth it. I couldn’t be more excited about the team I am surrounded with.”
Jesse Berger is producing. Production is currently underway in New Orleans.
Anderson was most recently seen in the “Hercules” with Dwayne Johnson while Lowndes can be seen next in “Eden” opposite Nate Parker and “The Prince” with Bruce Willis. Callie can still be seen on “Sons of Anarchy” as Wayne Unser.
